Manuel Crugliano was born in Genova in 1989. After a 6 months internship at the Graphene Labs of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, in October 2015 he obtains his B.Sc. degree in Materials Science at the Università di Genova with a thesis entitled “Graphene-based inks and pastes for photovoltaics applications”. During his internship he becomes familiar with the Liquid Phase Exfoliation (LPE) technique for inks production and with the characterization techniques. Furthermore he carries out the calibration of instruments such as Spray Coater and Screen Printer and deposits graphene-based and other 2D materials inks and paste on different types of substrates, both rigid and flexible.
Since November 2015 he becomes Support Technician, taking care of the synthesis and characterization of graphene-based and other 2D materials inks and their deposition on different type of substrates for commercial projects. He is also supporting the Graphene Labs Technician in the maintenance of the instruments and the daily activities of the Labs.
