About

Currently I am a PhD student at Graphene Labs- Italian Institute of Technology and Department of Physics, University of Genova. My research focuses on developing novel strategies combining graphene and gold plasmonic fractal nanoantennas for enhanced light-matter interaction. My areas of expertise include Graphene, Plasmonics, Micro/Nanofabrication, Nanoelectronics, Nanophotonics and Optoelectronics.

I have obtained my Master degree (5 years integrated MSc in Photonics) from International School of Photonics, Cochin University of Science and Technology; with a highly interdisciplinary curriculum combining Material science, Optics, Quantum mechanics, Nano and bio-photonics, semiconductor electronics etc.

♦ Dec 2014- Aug 2018: Tunable plasmonic devices using graphene/gold nano-fractals. Supervisor: Dr. Vittorio Pellegrini, Director, GrapheneLabs, IIT, Genova, Italy.

♦ Dec 2013- May 2014: Fabrication and study of plasmonic dichroism in silver, gold and alloy nanoparticles. Supervisor: Prof. Ewa Goldys (Director, MQ BioFocus Research Centre, Department of Physics and Astronomy) at Macquarie university, Sydney, and Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), Australia.

♦ May- Jul 2013: Raman studies of graphene oxide thin films after sonication induced defect formation. Supervisor: Dr. Manu Jaiswal, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M), Chennai, Tamilnadu.

♦ May- Jul 2012: Capacitance-Voltage studies and Mott- Schottky analysis of P3HT based organic bulk hetero junction solar cells under dark and illuminated ambience.
